We’re supporting the 2025 LEGO Fill the Blues Bus campaign!
For the past four years, Victor Sports has been a proud sponsor of the Blues Super Rugby team, providing first aid and sports medicine supplies. This year, we’re stepping up to be a part of the Blues ‘LEGO Fill the Blues Bus’ campaign that runs from Tuesday 4 November to Thursday 4 December.
Food insecurity is a real challenge for many people, especially at this time of year. Paul Bennett, Victor Channel Manager, is excited about joining this campaign and spearheading awareness within the Northwest region. “We know there are families struggling within our community, and this is a meaningful and impactful way of giving back. We’ve cleared out some warehouse space, and we really hope we can get the local community behind us to support this amazing campaign”.
“As a sports company, we’re naturally quite competitive. The Blues have a target of 50,000 non-perishable food items. We hope to rally the local community to contribute as much of this as we can.”
Paul and the team are also engaging local schools and sports clubs. “We believe this is a great opportunity to demonstrate to our tamariki the power of collective action - many small actions can contribute to something big. We’ve got spot prizes ready and will be keeping them up to date with how our collection is growing so they can see the impact of giving”.
At the end of the campaign, the food items will go to four amazing charities (The Village Community Trust - West Auckland, South Seas – South Auckland, Whakaora Kai – Northland and Love Soup - North Shore/North Harbour) who will distribute them to those most in need this Christmas.
If you, or your school or sports club, is local to Kumeū and wants to get involved or have a chat to find out more, email Lisa@victor.nz and we’ll get in touch.
